The Cleveland Cavaliers finished their regular season with a record of 58-13. LeBron became the first Cavaliers player and youngest player to earn the NBA Most Valuable Player, announced on May 4, 2008. In the playoffs, Cleveland swept the Detroit Pistons in round one. They also swept the Atlanta Hawks, but lost to the Orlando Magic. LeBron was called immature and ingracious after the match as he refused to shake the winners' hands.
